Balfour Tavern & Motel is located on the Gore/Queenstown Highway

Balfour is located in Northern Southland. It is a rural peaceful town, close to Fiordland and Queenstown. Balfour is on State Highway 94 on the Gore/Queenstown Highway. The small town of Gore is only a short distance from Balfour and offers a good variety of shopping, art galleries and is host to a number of events including the Gold Guitar Awards and Hokonui Moonshiners' Festival.
